Albem Pty Ltd has been commissioned by the Port of Brisbane Corporation to construct Wharf 9 at the Port’s Fisherman Islands facility in Brisbane.

Albem is using Steelcom’s HH1146 drop hammer in 14 tonne configuration to drive over 300 piles ranging in size from 900mm to 1200mm in diameter and driven to approximately RL -40.000. Overall pile length is up to 50m. Work is expected to be completed mid 2005.
