Delmag D36-32 Diesel Pile Hammer.
DELMAG diesel pile hammers are
single acting free fall hammers utilizing the principle of impact
atomization.
Marine and Civil, specialists in the design & construct of
marine related civil engineering and driven piled foundations required
a suitable diesel hammer ranging from 8 - 18 tonnes to add to their
existing fleet.
Thyssenkrupp Steelcom and our supply partner Delmag offered the
D36-32 8T. The Delmag D36-32 Diesel Pile Hammer was later used
in the Pluto Materials Handling Facility in Dampier WA where it
was mounted onto a crane base or used in what we call a set of
leads that suspend the hammer.
The diesel hammers have been regenerated in recent times to serve
as an alternative to the hydraulic hammer.
Delmag diesel hammers use modern technology to ensure modern fuels
are burnt cleanly and efficiently. The diesel hammer cannot be
beaten energy of 123000 Nm at a drop height of 3,4 m. The effective
impact force on the pile is 18000 kN. D36-32 is suitable for driving
piles with a weight of 2500 up to 12000 kg.
The diesel pile hammer consists of upper and lower cylinder in
which the piston is led. The hammer is equipped with a rope controlled
adjustable fuel pump with 4 settings. This serves to regulate the
stroke of the piston and therefore the impact energy. This is a
particular advantage when soil formations change.
To find out more about this proven technology, or to discuss how
we may be able to assist you with your next steel sheet piling
and foundation requirement please contact ThyssenKrupp Steelcom

The diesel hammer cannot be beaten in terms of overall efficiency
for turning potential fuel
'energy' into impact energy delivered into the pile - it is essentially
a two-cycle single
piston engine! This explains why the diesel hammer consumes significantly
less fuel per pile.
