Thyssenkrupp Steelcom has supplied 195LM of the Larssen L755 sheet pile in 2000 cm3/m section Modulus to VIC Roads for their project in Sale, Victoria.

The Larssen 755 (U shaped) profile is a wider (750mm) and deeper (450mm) section that achieves the same section modulus at a weight advantage of 11 kg/m² of wall, compared with the well known old British Steel LX 20 steel sheet pile.

For this project ThyssenKrupp Steelcom supplied 40 sheets x 11.8m = 30 LM or 354 m2 from existing stocks and imported cut to length a further 135 LM x 8m and 135 LM to the customer requirements.

At 750 mm in width the Larssen L755 advantages include fewer interlocks per running metre of wall providing superior water-tightness, while tie-rods are also much easier to mount on the wider sections and there are potentially less cost incurred when coated or sealing the sheet.

For contractors the Larssen L 755 sheets offers faster installation per LM, while offering a convenienthandling size on site.
